+ Had a Labor Day taco party, it was a major hit, tones of people came, ate tacos and hung out. We even invited the neighbors and they came by. It went over really well, with only two broken glasses!!
+/- Sick, but getting better. i didn't go to class all last week because of my throat. i even went home early from work one day. finally i went to the doctors on Friday. the good thing is that i don't have strep, the bad thing is that my tonsils were extremely infected, and he put me on amoxicillin anyways. so i have been on that for the past few days, and i am starting to feel better, though my throat is still really tender.
+ "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio is playing right now, and it is amazing. I made a Snoop Dogg radio station on Pandora, and it has been playing an amazing mix of everything.
+ Did dishes today, that is the extent of how exciting I am.
+ Oh, but I did go to sephora Saturday and got this really amazing brow pencil, I have to say that my eyebrows have been amazingly big and full.
+ Bachelorette party this weekend. Going out to Palm Springs, with Frank's sisters and friends.
+ Magazine layout I have been working on for my Graphic Design class, it is getting pretty classy.
+ Frank is out waiting in line for halo, like a nerd. Ahh, how I love him.

+ first week of classes went well. i think this is going to be a great semester.
+ like most of my teachers and classes thus far. here is a breakdown:

AMST 395 California Cultures: the class sounds interesting, though there is a a lot of reading (none of which i have done yet). one of my brother's friends is in the class, so at least i know someone (i seem to do better in classes if i have someone to talk to about the class)
ART 323B Graphic Design: the teacher has a thick accent, and a little broken English. i met him when i first came to class, and he told me all the wrong classes to take, so i have a little bit of a bias against him. he met with us each individually, he didn't even get to me, that is one of my pet peeves about teachers and their one on one meetings.
ART 363B Illustration: yay! i have had this teacher before, and really enjoyed the class. the projects for this class seem really interesting, and challenging, and i am always up for that! plus, i love illustrator, and always love learning more about it!
ART 480T History of Graphic Design: i took this class in community college, and learned a lot. this one, i feel like i will learn more. the teacher is the art history department head, and i have had her before, and she is really knowledgeable, she is really into critical thinking. hopefully it will help me apply what i learn more, i mean , i know a lot, but i cant look and a design and talk about its inspiration, and the design school it came from, blah blah blah, and i really want to learn how.

+ not too many papers either, this semester, something that i was worrying about, because i was taking two lecture classes.
+ iced coffee and a walk home.
+ work this evening, and then a b-day party after that. look at me, all popular and shit.
+/- my hair. so i finially got my favorite shampoo, after months of not having the money to get it, i have come to the conclusion that even though it is a tad expensive, it is well worth it. so my hair has been blah lately, like it is super curly when i wake up (i wash is and go to bed with it wet) but within a few hours, it just goes limp. so i am trying to figure out what to do with it. any suggestions?
+ oh yeah, frank got a blog! go and read it: angry, young and hungry, i am working on the design of it for him, to make it look better.
+ off to watch last nights project runway!

+ really great dinner last night. one of frank's friends had him make steaks, yum.

+ having to choose between watching X-Files or Veronica Mars. i just got into Veronica Mars, and love it!
- textbooks. defiantly not spending as much as i would if it was art supplies, but this american studies class has expensive books.
+ almost bought a kindle. i was grabbing all my textbooks on amazon, and nearly all of them were offered in a digital format for the kindle, and only ten dollars! hmmmm...
- blisters on my feet. have yet to get used to walking to class.
+/- need to get a new portable coffee mug, the one i have is starting to really fall apart, and it is getting annoying.
+ sun tea and iced coffee, the good things about summer.
+/- i have all these cardigans i want to start wearing, but alas, it is still hot as hell outside. makes me a little sad on the inside.

+/- school started today. i have only gone to one class thus far, and have one more at four. the walk to campus wasn't that bad, though it was early in the morning, and reasonably cool, cannot wait to walk back around 330p.
+ new layout and such, never really figures out what was wrong with the comments, but i changed the layout, and it seemed to have fixed its self. w00t.
+ sun tea. my new favorite thing to drink.

+ burgers and a 70's party. frank and his friend made burgers for a friends party. they had so much fun, it was like they were playing diner, but for real!! they were so excited.
+ Jen is in town!!! i miss her so much! since she moved to san fran, we don't nearly talk as much as we should. defiantly have had good conversations with her. she leaves Tuesday, but we will meet up again on Monday.
+ a day off.
+/- school starts tomorrow. kinda excited, kinda just nonchalant about the whole thing. i try not to get too excited about things, just so i don't et let down.
+ things that i need to get done this semester:

internship: figure that shit out. need to line one up, since i need it to graduate.
teaching credential: should i or shouldn't i get one. how to get into the program.
what am i going to do with my degree??

+ frank and i have been talking about what we are going to do once i graduate (hopefully by the end of next fall). there isnt really anything nailing us down, we might move up north, to san fran or Portland. we both can basically do what we do anywhere.
+ got this amazing bench while thrifting yesterday, it was three dollars and has a really neat filigree thing. i want to paint it, and make cushions for it, it will look amazing! before pictures to come.

+ going down to costa mesa with frank this morning. went to the farmers market and got stuff for salads next week and pickling cucumbers!!! so freaking excited for the pickles! we also went to hi times and got some delicious beer for true blood on sunday night.

+/- paper writing. i always wait until the very end to write papers, knowing full well that they would be better if i started them earlier, but alas, when do i ever listen to myself?
+/- crazy man throwing a bitch fit on the bus. all the students were telling him to get off, it was actually comical.
+ frank came over for food. then he sat in my bed and read while i was writing my paper. i love him.
+/- windy dry hot weather. just when i though i would get a winter this year :(
+ new favorite podcast: hungry nation.
- dry weather makes my skin itchy. :(

+ went to the Santa Ana Zoo this afternoon. it was nice, not too hot, not too crowded. pulled out the 20D and took lots of fun pictures, which can be found over at the flickr.
+ board games with the family. we played scrabble, upwords and boggle, we like word games, can you tell??
+/- breakfast at Pop's Cafe in Santa Ana today, sucky service, and way too much food, but all in all, pretty good.
+ such nice weather today, so glad that i spent most of it outside.
+ its going to be windy tomorrow, so excited.
+/- back to school tomorrow, boo.
+/- procrastinating a paper that i have to write (though i am about 18% finished) but so glad that i did, today was soo nice!
+ clean room. it seriously puts me in a better mood.

+ breakfast with manda. ate at this place called "crepes and grapes" delicious, though the service sucked.
+/- room cleaned. pictures to come, but not too soon, have to lug out my 20D.
- broken camera. so many things i want to take pictures of.

+ got an 87 on my american studies midterm. yay!
+ basket of clothes and shoes to get rid of. i get to these points where i have all these clothes, but nothing to wear, i thus start getting rid of things.
+/- second guessing getting rid of my OC Supertones shirt, its a classic.
+/- shower.
+ cleaned the bathroom today, not too exciting, but kinda fun.
+ went to this really neat used bookstore in uptown whittier, didnt buy anything, but had fun looking around.

+ haircut tooday, though i cannot for the life of me figure out what i want. hopefully they know what they are doing.
+ driving my brothers car. he went to vegas and wanted to drive a more gas efficient car (i drive a corolla). i feel so powerful driving his car (chevy tahoe) he might never get it back.
+/- have to go to a museum and write a paper, i dont want to go to LA, i might try to go to long beach.
+/- still have to bake this week. havent figured out what kind of pie i want to make, still deciding.
+ coffee with pumpkin spice creamer. delicious!
